I am a neuromuscular neurologist and aspiring physician scientist in training for ALS translational research. I graduated from Keio University School of Medicine in Japan and postgraduate training in internal medicine at National Center for Global Health and Medicine in Japan. I completed Adult Neurology Residency at the University of Kansas Medical Center and Neuromuscular Medicine fellowship at UCLA. I remained at UCLA as a neuromuscular neurologist and was trained on omics/bioinformatics analysis of patient-derived specimen under the mentorship of Dr. Jessica Rexach, while participating patient care for people with ALS and other neuromuscular disorders. I joined Dr. John Ravits’ lab in December 2025 to further deepen the training on translational research in ALS. 

Outside of lab, I enjoy hiking, classical music, ballet classes, and watching criminal/sci-fi shows.
